Terms of service

These are our draft terms for businesses that use LinkQR. They'll be finalised before launch. Shoppers who scan a code don't need an account and aren't bound by them.

Who these terms cover

  • LinkQR is run from the UK. These terms are between LinkQR and the business that opens an account: a brand, an agency partner or a printer.
  • The person who signs up confirms they can agree to them for their business.

Your account

  • Keep your details up to date and your sign-ins private.
  • You're responsible for what your team does in your account. Admins decide who has access.

Plans, prices and billing

  • You pay a monthly plan, plus a price per code for each week its project is live. Prices are in your account's currency and shown before you pay.
  • We bill monthly by card, or by invoice where agreed. UK accounts pay UK VAT; accounts elsewhere pay no UK VAT and account for any local tax (reverse charge).
  • We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before a price change applies to you.

Free trials

  • A trial covers one project of up to 10 locations, for the length shown when you sign up. No card is needed.
  • When it ends you can subscribe to keep going. Nothing is charged unless you do.

Your codes and content

  • You own your artwork, product details, links and data. You let us store and show them only to run LinkQR for you.
  • Codes must not lead to anything unlawful, harmful or misleading. We may pause a code that does and will tell you why.

Shoppers and data

  • LinkQR counts scans, not people. You agree not to use it to identify shoppers.
  • For the data you give us we act as your processor. A data processing agreement is available on request. See our data promise for what a scan records.

Keeping LinkQR running

  • We work to keep LinkQR and your codes available, but can't promise it will never be interrupted, for example during planned maintenance.
  • Support is by email and through the app.

Ending your account

  • You can cancel at any time. It takes effect at the end of the month you've paid for.
  • We may pause an account after unpaid invoices (with reminders first) or serious misuse. Download your data before you close it.
  • When an account closes, its codes show shoppers an ended page.

Liability

  • Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
  • Otherwise, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we're not liable for indirect losses such as lost sales or profit.

Changes and law

  • We may update these terms and will tell you before changes that affect you take effect.
  • These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute.
