Cookies
Cookies and storage, kept small
No advertising cookies and no third-party trackers. Here’s everything LinkQR stores in your browser, and why.
What we store
- lq-lang, a cookie that remembers the language you chose. It lasts a year.
- The live demo keeps its example data in your own browser, never on our servers, so you can try LinkQR without signing up.
- Small settings in your browser’s storage, such as a panel you collapsed, a banner you closed, or that you’ve already seen the opening animation.
- When you scan a code, a note kept only for that browser tab, so scanning the same code twice in a row isn’t counted twice.
What we don’t use
- No advertising or social media cookies.
- No third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
- No fingerprinting. Scans are anonymous and we never try to identify who scanned.
For the LinkQR team only
- lq_staff and lq_site_preview help our own team move between the website and the app, and preview the site before it goes live. You won’t have them unless you work for LinkQR.
Your choices
- Everything we store is needed for the site to do what you asked, so we don’t need to ask before setting it.
- You can clear it at any time in your browser’s settings. The site still works, it just forgets your choices.
- If we ever add analytics, we’ll update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Questions
- Email hello@linkqr.app and a person will reply.
